CEC Early College, Denver Public Schools
Beginning with FIRST's Rack N Roll competition, CEC's Quarter Twenties have over 15 years of experience building great robots.
CEC Early College is the career center for all of Denver Public Schools. Students from all across the district attend CEC, and all are invited to participate in our team!
Named after the most commonly used bolt size on our robots, the Quarter Twenties slogan is "GO NUTS!".
Here at Team 2259, we foster a culture of discovery and innovation. Our students are encouraged to think outside the box and approach challenges with a creative mindset. Through hands-on experiences and learning, we explore new technologies and engineering concepts, ensuring that every team member contributes to and learns from the robot-building process.
Our team strives to make a positive impact both in and out of the robotics arena. We engage in community outreach to inspire younger students in STEM and participate in local events to showcase our work. Our projects go beyond competition; they're about leaving a lasting mark on our community and creating a better world through the power of technology and collaboration.
Inclusion is at the heart of Team 2259. We believe that a diverse team is a strong team. We welcome students from all backgrounds and skill levels, creating a safe and supportive environment where everyone can learn and contribute. Our aim is to empower each member, ensuring they have the opportunity to grow, contribute, and excel in their interests..
Teamwork is the key to our success, and we balance it with a healthy dose of fun. We collaborate, share ideas, and support each other through every step of the process. Our team is more than just a group of students building a robot; we're a tight-knit community that enjoys learning together, celebrating our successes, and learning from our failures.
